Lignum hoops

I developed the first wood hoop designed to look like die-cast hoops.  I launched this line back in 2002 and it is still regarded as THE premium wood hoop available on the market today.

These hoops are normally made using American rock maple, which is the most suitable wood for the application.  The key was to develop a joint that was strong enough to handle the constant pounding rim shots and these hoops have even proven to stand up to the heaviest of metal drummers! Drummers from around the globe have Lignum snares with these hoops and many have added them to 'standard' snare drums too.

These hoops will give you a slightly warmer, drier sound and the cross-stick and rim shot dynamics have to be heard to be believed!!!

Please note : Because of the labour intensive process of making Lignum wood hoops, I make these in batches only twice a year.  If your size isn't available now, I respectfully ask you to order now and please be patient.  You will find they are worth the wait, I am sure!
