Steam Bent Snares
After many years of making stave & true solid drums, it was time for something new.
It took a few years of experimenting & designing steam bent shells between all my other orders. (Much longer than I expected)
I had to figure out and solve several issues to be sure that they would get the real high-end Lignum sound !
This old way of building gave me the opportunity to make very thin shells, much thinner than the stave construction that I have been making for more than 20 years now.
Only a handful of people have mastered this technique !
Lignum steam bent snares are finished with different types of hardware :
Standard generic hardware or all in the house made Lignum hardware, in chrome or pure brass.
